Our Sustainable Engagement
The Bigger Picture
We are committed to being a responsible and sustainable property with a purpose. We source our vegetables and meats locally whenever possible, which helps to support our local farmers and reduce our carbon footprint. We also employ and train members of the local community, which helps to boost the local economy. We limit our use of plastic waste by using reusable water bottles and straws, and by composting food scraps. We are also working to install solar panels on our roof, which will help us to generate our own electricity and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. We believe that by taking these steps, we can make a positive impact on the environment and the local community.
Here are some additional details about each of these initiatives:

Sustainable Chalets
Built with materials mainly locally -sourced from the village and in the surrounding area, our chalets follow a classic traditional Lao architecture. We also upcycle furniture and objects, giving our décor a unique twist. We also pride ourselves to be fully sustainable in non-drinkable water consumption, sourced from our own well.

Working with the Community
We employ and train members of the local community in a variety of roles, including housekeeping, food service, and maintenance. This helps to boost the local economy, create jobs for people from surrounding villages and provide them with quality experience and knowledge.
Buying local
We source our vegetables and meats, either from our own farm or from local nearby farmers whenever possible. This is an extra way to support our community, reduce our carbon footprint, and ensure that our guests are eating fresh, seasonal food.

Limiting Plastic Waste
We limit our use of plastic waste by using reusable water bottles and straws, and by composting food scraps. This helps to reduce our environmental impact and protect the local environment.

A Constant Work in Progress
We are committed to providing Hospitality with a Purpose. Being fully self-sufficient and plastic -free is still a work in progress but we are determined and always looking for ways to improve. Please be kind :)
